We got another email from our buyer's agent with some more pics and we are excited to see our basement. We can't wait to see the house this weekend.

Finally Some Pics!!
It feels like a long time since we've broke ground and the beginning stages of building really seem to drag especially since the weather has not been so great. I finally got some pics from our buyer's agent of the start of the foundation and the delivered supplies. It's really hard to tell how the house sits on the lot and the perspective of everything (the basement looks so small!) since we haven't actually been to the house yet...hopefully next weekend we will visit and we can have more pics. They delivered the lumber, windows and doors on Friday so we hope that by the time we visit they will be done with some of the framing.
I'm getting anxious about buying appliances, but I feel like it is a little early since we aren't supposed to close until the end of April. I know some of you have already bought some appliances. Any suggestions about when to do so? Thanks!

I LOVE Victoria Falls!
Unfortunately, I don't have pics of us breaking ground yet. Being in a different state from the house is very difficult, but we hope to get some pics from our buyer's agent soon...I am getting a little anxious.
After seeing today's post from momoftwins, I got inspired to share some of the pics we took of the decorated Victoria Falls models we saw. We went to a model in Cincinnati, OH before deciding on the Victoria Falls and this is where we fell in love with the floor plan and got some direction for color choices and options. We honestly felt we could not decide on a floor plan without seeing it in person. We also visited the newly built model Fishers, IN to check out some different options and see our fireplace stone color. This totally reaffirmed our decisions. For those of you trying to make decisions, I hope it helps with seeing some examples. And for my fellow Victoria Falls bloggers I hope you love the floor plan even more! :)
Check out these links below for the pics! The model in Cincinnati is an Elevation E and the model in Fishers is an Elevation C (sorry I don't have any outside pics of this one right now, I can try to post later).

Breaking Ground!
We are a little behind and are finally creating a blog! A few months ago, we found blogs about Ryan Homes and found them very helpful. Our decision to build with Ryan Homes was reassured and we wanted to provide the same help for others out there. It is definitely great to have insight especially since we have never built or bought a home before. So here we go...
Back in November, we started our process. We went back and forth between the Naples and Victoria Falls and finally landed on the Victoria Falls after falling in love with a decorated model we saw in Ohio. Working out the final details and paperwork was difficult during the holidays, but we finally had our pre-construction meeting a couple of weeks ago and are breaking ground this week!
Our Options:
- Included full-brick front and HardiePlank siding
- 3 car garage - front entry
- Unfinished basement w/ bathroom plumbing rough-in
- 4' extension in family room with 3 windows on back wall
- Stone fireplace
- Morning Room with side windows
- Gourmet island in kitchen
- 42" cherry bordeaux cabinets in kitchen
- Tray ceiling in owner's suite
More pictures and updates to come...

Some Pictures of Our Lot
We are building Elevation D which doesn't seem to be too popular since we only saw 1 completed house in this elevation after seeing several communities in Ohio and Indiana. We liked this elevation the best since it has the foyer window centered over the front door and larger windows on the front left side of the house where the living room is. The front door is also bumped out a little giving more room in the foyer.
