Nosy Neighbors!

Today my fiance was walking through our house after work and noticed a couple from across the street going from house to house on our block to check out the houses that are being built. So our neighbors came in through the garage and were surprised to see my fiance standing in the family room. They awkwardly introduced themselves and then proceeded to try to tour the house on their own, which I find strange to walk around someone's house without really asking to look around. They then went upstairs and the woman was walking all over our newly laid tile in our bathroom. They also kept asking about what was upgraded...I just wish I were there to directly address their rudeness. Most of our neighbors that we have met seemed to be pretty nice, but this couple..they won't be borrowing anything of ours haha.
Has anyone had any issues like this??

  1. Holy cow what is wrong with them they just walked in going through the house as if they owned it what is wrong with them. Please that is soooo rude I so hope you guys voiced your concern to the sales rep. I'm sure that in just a few days your house will be locked from the outside.

I'm so sorry that had feel a litle violated I know I would be ugh. Just remember soon that you will have a brand new house nosy neighbors do suck haha.

  2. While I have thought about doing that, I never, never, never would. That's creepy. I can't believe they continued once they saw your husaband.

  3. As a kid, my parents would take us through houses too. We loved it. And to be honest...it's embarrassing...but I'd probably look through models I have never seen before. *blushes* However, I would ask the owners first, maybe after welcoming them to the neighborhood and getting to know them a little. I'd probably ask if they'd mind giving me a tour sometime, and let it be at that. I would never just walk in a house and continue on my way as if I owned the place. That's just wrong. I'm so sorry guys.

  5. That is just wrong. We had our rep with us when we went into our neighbors house and that was because she had to measure something for them and let us in to our house. We took our shoes off and didn't go upstairs.

I would definitely bring this to your reps attention.

  8. I know this happens a lot for houses that are under construction. It's unfortunate, but some people feel like it's public property until you move in. I am shocked they continued while your fiance was in the house though!

  9. Wow! I would have lost it!! Our neighbors actually waited for us to come over to look at the house & asked if they could check it out with us. They seem really cool and sicne they are our Next Door neighbors, I didnt want to say NO and be stuck with them as our Neighbors for the next 10 years lol!! Sorry that happened! No Sugar for them! ;)

  12. This is so exciting to read. Love the house pictures. I have elevation B with the stone front. It is so great to read your progress to prepare me for what up ahead for me. Today our lumbar package is being delivered so I am pretty sure it’s all uphill from here.

About those neighbors and their rudeness....I was just wondering how many people our sales rep would have roaming through our house at some point. There was another model fairly complete and we toured it and I felt uncomfortable walking through someone else’s home. You definitely know they have no common courtesy...better you know it now rather than latter! Enjoy your home and I can't wait to see more pics!
